HOW DOES A CALCUTTA WORK?
1. BUY A TICKET ($5)
2. DRAW A HORSE: Tickets are drawn publicly and at random. Each ticket is matched with a Melbourne Cup runner.
3. AUCTION THE HORSES: Once the runners have been drawn, each runner is put up for auction. Participants can bid for the runners. 4. HIGHEST
BIDDER WINS: The person who makes the highest successful bid becomes the purchaser of that runner for the Calcutta and must pay immediately.
5. AUCTION MONEY IS SHARED: 50% of the auction price goes to the person who originally drew the runner, and 50% is added to the Calcutta
prize pool.
6. THE MELBOURNE CUP IS RUN The official finishing position of the runner determines the winning result.
Prize pool will be distributed as follows:
70% TO THE WINNER
20% FOR SECOND PLACE
10% FOR THIRD PLACE

Following the raffles, three winners will be drawn and invited to select a gnome from the garden diorama at the bar. Each gnome
has a prize amount displayed on its base, with the combined prizes totalling $1,000 each week, split as per below:

Make an eligible purchase at the bar/bistro between 5-7:30pm, and place your receipt in the barrel in the clubhouse. One entry per
transaction.
